菲律宾是拥有全球第三大非政府组织的发展中国家,其国内的非政府组织发展良好,组织完备。菲律宾的非政府组织发展经历了三个阶段,即从慈善取向的市民社会组织到发展取向的非政府组织,以及获得授权型的非政府组织。推动菲律宾非政府组织发展的因素是多方面的,历史传统的沉淀,国内、国际意识形态领域斗争的需要,以及战后菲律宾政府、外国政府和国际组织的发展援助。

Development of Philippine NGOs and the Reasons for It

The Philippines possesses the third largest NGOs among the developing world, which have been sound and well-organized. The development of Philippine NGOs have experienced three stages: charity-oriented NGOs, development-oriented NGOs and empowerment-oriented NGOs. The reasons for the development of Philippine NGOs include historical tradition, the need for ideological struggles domestically and internationally, and the post-war developmental aids from the Philippine government, developed countries as well as international organizations.
