公共知识分子指那些已经并且正在思想界、科学界、社会学界和文艺学界取得一定声誉并利用这种声誉从某种世界观或某些道德伦理的角度出发有效参与社会事务监管的公共性人士。作为一种客观存在的社会文化现象，当下中国语境中的公共知识分子虽然多少带有“逆介入性”和“去公共性”的苦涩意味，但它仍不失为一个具有现代蕴涵的现实课题。就其重建的必要性与可能性而言，中国的公共知识分子既生逢其时又任重道远。

The Current Situation and the Reconstructive Necessity of Public Intellectual in Chian

Public Intellectual refers to the public people who have gained certain reputation in the ideological, scientific, sociological and artistic circles and have made use of the reputation to take the effective part in the supervision of social affairs in the perspective of certain world view and some moral ethics. The public intellectual under the current context of China, an objective phenomenon of social culture, is characterized by some bitter tastes such as “anti-interventionality” and “de-publicization”, but it can be regarded as a realistic topic with modern connotation. In terms of its reconstructive necessity and probability, it is a suitable time for the public intellectual in China to come into being but there is still a long way to go.
