土家族的姓名演变及其相关问题研究

本文从土家族民间传说和汉文献记载的土家族直系先民的姓名入手 ,粗略勾勒出土家族直系先民至少在唐末五代以前大多使用土家语名字 ,其大部分采用汉式姓名约在明代晚期或稍后的史实。在此基础上 ,进而对土家族的族源等一些历史文化方面的问题进行了探索

A Study on the Evolution of the Names in Ethnic Tujia and Some other Interrelated Questions

This study is based on the popular legend among ethnic Tujia and the names of Tujia's directly related ancestries in Chinese historical materials. The author puts forward that at least before late Tang and the beginning of Wudai the names of Tujia language were common used in the directly related ancestries of ethnic Tujia, and that the Chinese names were not used until late Ming or even later. Some other historical cultural questions about Tujia such as its origin are discussed in this paper.
