Needle Therapy: An Institutional Setting for Environmental NGO to Participate in Environmental Policy of Governments

The plan of building dam on Nujiang River was temporarily stopped by the environmental NGOs who canvassed for key departments. The actions of the environmental NGOs are named as Needle Therapy. Imitating the UN's empowering NGOs at Consulting Status, those environmental NGOs with quite qualification could participate in the process of decision-making and could be empowered the qualification of hearing, asking and speaking at the National Environmental Bureaucracy and governments.
