Abstract: | Pathogenesis of diabetic gastroparesis (DG) can be divided into basic pathogenesis and antecedent pathogenesis. The basic pathogenesis is disfunction of the spleen in transport, and the antecedent pathogenesisincludes blood stasis, phlegm stagnation, stagnation of Qi, dampness retention. According to basic pathogenesis and antecedent pathogenesis, general treatment and special treatment should be used respectively. Basic treatment includes regulating the flow of Qi to activate the spleen, eliminating dampness to activate the spleen, replenishing Qi to invigorate the spleen, inducing diuresis to reinforce the spleen and promoting digestion to invigorate the spleen. Special treatment includes promoting circulation of Qi to remove dampness, resolving phlegm and removing turbid pathogens and activating circulation of blood to remove blood stasis. |
