明皇朝的覆没与中国社会政治治理模式碎裂——中国选择社会主义道路的历史辨析

Collapse of the Ming Imperial Dynasty and the Break of the Chinese Social and Political Governance Models： A Historical Analysis of China＇s Choice for a Path of Socialism

After its defeat in the Opium War in 1840, China gradually fell into a semi feudal and semi colonial abyss. From a historical perspective, China ＇ s rapid lag behind from Western Europe ＇ s social development is actu-ally caused by the 276 years＇ rule of the Ming Imperial Dynasty. The lose-lose Chinese social and political govern- ance models made the Ming Imperial Dynasty the most corrupted feudal imperial dynasty that is most obstructive for social development in China. Collapse of the Ming Imperial Dynasty and the meteoric disappearance of the Dashun Dynasty established by Li Zicheng indicate the break of the Chinese social and political governance models. For China to march toward modernization, it has to switch the social and political governance models. During the three centuries from mid 17th century to mid 20th century, China finally accepted Marxism after difficult and complicated explorations, accomplished the mission of new democratic revolution, took the developmental path of socialism, and realized social transformation. The historical experience indicates that socialism is the autonomous selection by the development of the Chinese civilization and the inevitable path for the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
