Understanding Zhou En-lai's Diplomatic Thoughts from Philosophical Perspective

Zhou En-lai's Diplomatic Thoughts can be traced back to two sources, i.e. the first source consists of Chinese traditional philosophy and harmonious spirit at the core of his thoughts; the second comes from essence of foreign cultures. Of all the diplomatic thoughts, co-existence, seeking common ground while keeping aside differences, mutual understanding and mutual accommodation, and common development which embody profound philosophical ideas can show Zhou En-lai's style of diplomacy. Zhou's thoughts on diplomacy was blend of the past and the present, the idea of building a harmonious world initiated in 2005 is, to a large extent, the reflection of Zhou 's diplomatic thoughts. Therefore Zhou En-lai's diplomatic thoughts belong to both China and the world.
