“清华中国文学系的柱石”——闻一多与大学中文教育

Wen Yiduo's educational concepts and achievements,who was regarded as the "backbone of Chinese Literary Department of Tsinghua",did not attract enough attention from the academic circle.Taking teaching as his holy duty,Wen worked enthusiastically.He advocated that the Chinese Literary Department of Tsinghua University should "foster talents for academic research" and "change Chinese Department into a research center".His ideas proposed in "Restructuring Chinese Literary Department and Foreign Languages Literary Department" had a significant influence on the reform and development of Chinese Literary Department of Tsinghua and college liberal arts in China.
