British police’s handling mechanism on public order affairs include 3 levels of mechanisms: the gold(strategy decision),the silver(to adopt measure),and the bronze(activity command).The typical modes include jostling,professionalization,compulsive measures and besieging.In handling 2011 riot,British police’s information processing mechanism is in ossification.Their pre-judgment is not correct;their reaction to public opinion is slow;their compulsive measures is insufficient;their spot handling measures are not effective;the police transferring efficiency is not high and the street control is weak,etc.To perfect the handling mechanism,police should build the comprehensive information harbor,strengthen communication ability with the public medium and improve the training mode.
