With the digital era coming,the crime evolution has led to changes both in quality and quantity.What＇s more,elements of criminal cases are changing.According to the basic rule that elements of criminal cases determine the investigative methods,changes in elements of criminal cases require investigative innovation.Investigative methodology as the investigative subsystem should be transformed in response to the reform of criminal and investigative theories and practices required by the digitalized era.Technology and standardization are the key to this reform.In this process we should pay attention to the following connections： connection between crime control and human right protection,connection between methodological innovation and necessary mechanisms and legislation,connection between costs in changing investigative measures and existing resources,connection between traditional and high tech investigative measures.
