Inspection of Vehicle Safety Conditions and Calculation of Vehicle Speed in Traffic Accidents

Objective To analyze the vehicle factors that might cause road traffic accidents. Methods The approaches and key points in the inspection of vehicle technical conditions were analyzed with real cases. The calculation method of vehicle speed was briefly discussed. Results The key points of inspecting the vehicle configuration, braking system, automotive lighting and signaling system and tires were summarized. Based on the calculation method of vehicle speed, the lorry in a rear-end accident was concluded as not reaching the low speed limit of the highway. Conclusion The key points ought to be followed during the inspection of vehicle technical safety conditions, so as to avoid road traffic accidents.
