Distinctive Canadian Constitutional Law

Several centuries' torturous process from colonial domination to sovereign independence in Canada created a distinctive constitution. The colonist from England and France not only left some marks of domination in this North America land, but also stamped deep brands on Canadian constitution. The article tries to analyze the characteristics and historical development of Canadian constitution, and compares it with constitutions of other countries. This constitution is a written one, but possesses the elements of unwritten one. It is a comparatively flexible constitution, but has the characteristics of rigid constitution. It stresses constitution monarchy, but embodies the idea of popular sovereignty.
