Protecting and advocating the cultural diversity plays an important role in the development of the society. The cultural diversity is closely related with the protection of intellectual property, in which the proper protection of the intellectual property promotes the creation of the cultural diversity while the improper protection hereof will destroy the cultural diversity. In reverse, the cultural diversity provides the headspring for the creation of the intellectual works and as well furnishes the material foundation for the formation of the intellectual property rights. Consequently, we should be fully aware of the close relationship between them and make efforts to reform the existing systems concerning the intellectual property so as to maintain and advocate the cultural diversity and further to facilitate the harmonious development of our society.
