严复译《法意》之法治思想探析

Analyzing of Yan Fu Thought of Rule of Law in Translating "Spirit of the Law"

Yan Fu translated ＂Spirit of the Law＂, revealed his central political issue consciousness of goveming. Through his political translation of ＂Spirit of the Law＂, he demonstrated to us his thought vein from governing idea to governing system and to governing skill. Through the contrast of society＇ s form , political system and historical origin with western society , explained the political characteristic and the root of Chinese society, and embarked the direction on the path of the rule of law in China. Reading ＂Spirit of the Law＂ again, we will have a better new inspiration in understanding the question of Chinese legal system modernity under the background of economical globalization.
