解放思想就是要破除妨碍科学发展的思想障碍

人类历史上每次思想解放运动都是以破除社会发展的思想障碍为出发点的，否则，思想解放运动使失去其现实意义，中国三十年的改革开放之所以能取得举世瞩目的成就，是与改革开放过程中我们的三次思想解放运动息息相关的。解放思想就是要树立世界眼光，使思想现代化，就是要更加坚持科学发展观，破除唯GDP论和对GDP的盲目崇拜；就要继续坚持“三个有利于”的标准；就是要坚决破除特权思想；就要突出抓好干部作风中存在的问题及广大群众最关心的问题，不断优化政务环境。
