在政府职能转变的过程中,人民团体的作用越来越突出。妇联作为中国重要的人民团体,在完善社会利益协调机制和推动和谐社会的建设方面发挥了重要的作用。主要表现在进言献策,建立妇女人才库,推进参政的性别平等;促进妇女多元就业和科技致富,缩小贫富差距;开展家庭文明建设,推进反腐倡廉;预防和打击犯罪,维护妇女儿童合法权益;构建妇女组织新格局,整合协调社会利益的组织资源等方面。

Role of Women's Federation in the Mechanism of Coordinating Public Interests

In the process of the government taking on more regulatory and less controlling functions,the role of people's associations is becoming more prominent.As an important people's association in China,Women's Federation can play an important role in improving the mechanism of coordinating public interests and building a harmonious society.A manifestation of its role resides in its ability to submit advice and policy recommendations,to develop human resources targeting women,and to promote gender equality in political participation,women's employment across sectors and poverty eradication through science,bridging the gap between the rich and the poor.This role is also reflected in an ability to promote family-based morals to reduce corruption and promote accountability,to protect women and children's lawful rights by way of preventing and fighting against crimes,to build a new structure of women's organizations and to mobilize organizational resources to coordinate public interests.
