全面小康社会指标与性别平等

本文在对国内外相关资料和课题前期研究的基础上,提出了全面小康社会性别平等和妇女发展指标构建的必要性和优先问题、全面小康社会性别平等与妇女发展的内涵和指标框架、指标构建原则,并对性别平等与妇女发展指标研究应用中应注意的问题进行了探讨。认为,将社会性别视角纳入社会指标研究不仅体现在研究主题的确定,而且在指标选择、指标定义、指标合成、指标数据收集和指标数据的展示等方面都存在很强的社会性别问题。只有不断增强研究者的社会性别意识,才能实现通过指标和数据反映男女两性的区别和相似性,促进性别平等的目的。

The Index to an Overall Moderately Prosperous Society and Gender Equality

Based on relevant data at home and abroad and early-stage topic research, this essay propounds the need for fostering gender equality and formulating women's development index and the priority questions involved in building a moderately prosperous society; the contents and index framework of the gender equality and women's development, and also the principles governing the formulation of the index, in such a society. It also discusses the questions of concern to the research and application of gender equality and women's development index. It maintains that the incorporation of gender perspective into social index research in not only manifested in the establishment of the research topic, but also that gender issue is strongly manifested in the selection, definition and composition of the index, the collection of index data and their display. According to the author of this essay, only by unceasingly heightening researchers' gender awareness can it be possible to reflect the differences and similarities between men and women through indexes and data, and thus to promote equality between the two sexes.
