318国道鄂西段是十分重要的交通枢纽 ,由于地理环境、气候条件、路面状况等诸多因素 ,交通事故频繁发生 ,针对 318国道鄂西段近三年来发生的重特大交通事故从事故形态、交通方式、天气情况、驾驶员等方面分析了事故特点及原因 ,提出了排查和整治危险路段 ,改革勤务方式 ,加大路面监控力度 ,强化农用车辆管理等重要措施 ,从而达到预防重特大事故的目的

An analysis of major traffic accidents occurring on the west part of No 318 high way within Hubei Province

Some major traffic accidents occurring on the west part of No 318 high way in recent three years have been analyzed. From the aspects such as the state of the accident, way of traffic, weather factors and drivers, the characteristics and causes of accidents have been stated. The author puts forward some suggestions like examining and repairing dangerous phases of the high way, reforming methods of duty, strengthen supervising and controlling of the road traffic and measures to manage agricultural vehicles, so as to prevent major traffic accidents.
