Contract or Partner: An Analysis of Gender in Marriage

Since 1791 when the French Constitution proclaimed that "law acknowledges that marriage is a civil contract",marriage has maintained the traits of contract in form,but it cannot represent the essentials of a complete contract relationship.In marriage contract,the traditional male control of the female at will hindered the healthy development of the relation between the two sexes.Thus,a new partnership model has been formed with a new base and reveals a living condition of equality,harmony,quietness and non-violence.The new marriage structure reveals a friendly relation of interaction based on the pleasure of cooperation and mutual complement,which makes love the most sacred force in life.
