近现代外国驻滇领事馆始末及其他

目前对于日本人在云南活动的研究 ,主要集中在滇西抗战期间 ,而实际上九·一八事变以前 ,日本人在云南的活动已有相当历史 ;西方人近代以来在云南活动的历史 ,国内只是对法国方面有所研究 ,对英、德等国在云南的活动则研究很少。从一些鲜为国内学者使用的外文史料及原北京图书馆藏日、英、德驻滇领事馆档案缩微胶卷中 ,我们可以比较全面地了解新中国建立前日、英、德三国驻云南领事机构及在滇侨民情况。

Foreign Consulates in Yunnan over the Recent Past

Nowadays, studies of Japan in the history of Yunnan have remained in the sphere of the Anti-Japanese War in southwest Yunnan. In fact, long before the Japanese surprise attack on Shenyang on September 18, 1931, they had been engaged in activities in Yunnan. Meanwhile, China's studies of Western people in Yunnan focus mainly on the French while little is done concerning the American, the British, and the German. However, more detailed information about the Japanese, the British and the German Consulates in Yunnan as well as the residents of these countries in Yunnan before 1949 can be found in some foreign documents rarely known by the Chinese scholars and the microfilm archives of these Consulates in the Chinese National Library.
