Country Identification and Order Maintenance： The Influence of Classification of Countries upon International Politics Since 19th Century

Countries have been classified in a certain sense ever since they came into being. With the increase and change of human concerns in the 19th century, the issue of country classification has been elevated to an unprecedented level of importance due to the high value it created. Country identification and order maintenance were typical examples. While they enriched the development history of their countries, they also enhanced the content of international politics. As our world entering a new age, though the reality that countries are classified into different factions for subjective and objective factors has not been fundamentally changed, the construction of universal order for common human community beyond the boundaries of identity has become the highlight of our time. Under the current international background, country identification, closely related to national interests, impose strong influence upon the national power and value in international political stage.
