马来西亚玻璃口新村外国新娘探析

随着马来西亚与中国、东盟国家之间关系日益紧密,马来西亚华人发生跨国婚姻的现象日益常见。玻璃口新村是马来西亚最大的广西籍华人新村。从第一批外国新娘——印尼华人嫁入新村开始至今已有20余年,第二批是泰国新娘,第三批是越南和中国新娘。作为跨国移民而来的外国新娘,在融入当地社会的过程中呈现出不同的特点:印尼新娘嫁入时间最早,较易获取公民身份证;泰国新娘保持原乡文化最浓;中国新娘多假结婚;越南新娘勤劳,婚后生活较为困难。玻璃口新村跨国婚姻是马来西亚华人跨国婚姻的缩影。

A Study of Foreign Brides in Perting New Village of Bentong in Malaysia

As ASEAN countries become increasingly close,cross-border marriages between Malaysian Chinese and women in ASEAN countries are common.Perting new Villagers freely fall in love and marry foreign women through work,tourism,and other means,or buy a foreign bride through a marriage agent.Among it bought and sold marriage accounts for large share.It has been more than 20 years since the first group of foreign brides,Indonesian Chinese were married into the Perting new village.The second group was Thai brides,and the third group was Vietnamese and Chinese brides.Foreign brides need to adapt to language,diet and religion,and they form a common or separate social network in the local area.Foreign brides show the different characteristics.Indonesian brides marry as the earliest and it is easier for them to obtain a citizen’s identity card.Thai brides maintain the original culture from their native country.Chinese brides marry as fake marriages,while Vietnamese brides are hard-working and have a difficult life after marriage.The cross-border marriage of the Pertingnew village is the microcosm of the cross-border marriage of overseas Chinese in Malaysia.
