Leo Suryadinata and Indonesian Overseas Chinese Research

Indonesia is an important country along the Belt and Road Initiative area.Indonesian Chinese are an integral part of the Indonesian national pluralistic ethnic group.They played an important role in different historical periods in Indonesia.As a well-known overseas Chinese scholar,Mr.Leo Suryadinata has conducted in-depth research and discussion on Indonesian Chinese and Southeast Asian Chinese from different perspectives and levels,and has achieved fruitful results.This paper introduces his academic life,academic contributions and his theory and views on the construction of Indonesian national state.
