With the rising of the Asia Pacific region in the 21st century,America’s global strategic center is turning to the East.The goals of the Asia-Pacific strategy of the Obama Administration are "to sustain and strengthen America’s leadership in the Asia-Pacific region,to improve security,to heighten prosperity,and to promote America’s values" in the "America’s Pacific Century".So,America will start by the "forward-deployed" diplomacy and move ahead on six key lines of action,which are:strengthening America’s bilateral security alliances;deepening America’s working relationships with emerging powers;engaging with regional multilateral institutions;expanding trade and investment;forging a broad-based military presence;and advancing democracy and human rights.It is clear that the "realistic idealism" is the strategic philosophy of the Asia-Pacific strategy of the Obama Administration.
