New Patterns of Southeast Asian Economics In the Process of Globalization

In the process of economic globalization, a new pattern and trend have assumed in Southeast Asian economic development. The countries concerned have both obtained the developmental opportunity brought about from being involved in economic globalization and suffered from the heavy shocks caused by the same reason. This paper examines the fluctuation and synchronism of Southeast Asian economic growth in the context of globalization, summarizes the basic characteristics of Southeast Asian economic operation from the three dimensions of trade, finance and production, and analyses the new progress of regional economic integration in Southeast Asia.
