USA:Closer Relations with ASEAN Countries in High-Profile and Its Impact

Busy with the war in Afghanistan and lraq, the United States of America does not act much in Southeast Asia. Despite the counter-terrorism cooperation with some ASEAN countries, the US only witnesses its influence declining in the region. Since2009, the Obama Administration has taken a series of diplomatic initiatives and expanded its involvement in Southeast Asia. It remains to be seen how these moves will affect China＇ s relations with ASEAN countries.
