Russia in 1905:Pan-Turkism from cultural propaganda to political action

In the latter half of the 19th century there appeared a social cultural movement of unifying the Muslim language,ideology and action in Russia.In the early 20th century Russia's pan-Turkism switched over from a social cultural movement into a social political one,which was marked by the establishment of the pan-Russian Muslim assembly and Muslim alliance.
