| 摘 要： | Hong Kong has been a great help to the nation in its efforts to rejoin the world community over the past 30 years since the beginning of "Reform and Opening Up" in 1978. It has played a unique role in helping the nation in implementing an exports-driven economy, improving industrial performance, upgrading technology, accumulating wealth, creating jobs, helping build a better socialist market economy, and assisting in the development of education, culture and sports through investments into, and trade and cooperation with, the mainland. It is certainly true to say that Hong Kong has made a great contribution to China’s "Reform and Opening Up" and the modernization of the whole country.
