凝视中的权力——对多丽丝·莱辛《屋顶丽人》的解读

媒介中女性形象的研究由来已久,随着网络技术的发展,微博等"自媒体"悄然兴起,开创了全新的报道方式和传播观念,公众对媒介的接近程度和信赖程度日益提高和加强。以新浪微博中的女性形象为案例,从社会性别、社会角色的视角入手,分析作为客体的女性在微博传播中的形象和地位,进一步探讨了产生这种形象的多种因素,尽可能为提高女性在网络空间中的地位,促进信息公平流动提出一些合理化的建议。     

“大跃进”时期“穆桂英”形象生成的历史考察

"穆桂英"是戏曲和小说中的人物,是中国民众熟悉的一位勇冠三军的女英雄。在中国古代社会"男尊女卑"的传统文化意识中,能成为"穆桂英"式的女性人物可以说是寥寥可数。而"穆桂英"形象在中国民间大量产生,并成为一个时代尊崇的女性形象则是在"大跃进"运动时期。这一时期,由于劳动力的严重短缺,客观环境要求女性必须像男性一样参加社会劳动,在媒体报刊和实际生活中,"穆桂英"女性形象逐渐增多,并成为歌颂女性勤劳勇敢的代名词。     

女性权益保护法律法规需要完善

随着社会的发展变化,目前我国关于女性权益保护的法律法规已明显落后,需要加以补充完善。就女性就业问题而言,女性权益保护就很不到位。毕业招聘中的"仅限男性"、招收女性要求"5年内不能结婚、10年内不得生育"等女性就业歧视问题无法得到解决。

论传统道德中的“女教”思想

中国传统道德中的"女教"思想在中国古代社会有着较大的历史作用,它在维护封建社会男权专制的过程中,也同时完成了对女性片面的人格塑造。"女教"思想的基本内容是对女性行为方式的规范,其理论基础主要是儒家伦理。"女教"思想的产生有其必然性,但在人的现代化过程中必须克服其反现代性的实质。     

马尔库塞女性主义社会主义理论及其当代价值

马尔库塞在"消费社会""单向度社会"的语境下,关注女性的生活和解放状况,呼吁人们重视女性特征和女性价值观,提出女性主义社会主义思想,并认为经过几千年漫长的社会建构而形成的女性特征是资本主义"操作原则"的对立面。马尔库塞高度赞扬女性特征,将建立非压抑性爱欲社会的希望落在女性身上,认为女性是构建非压抑性文明的主体。同时,他也担心当代西方的女权运动在"异化消费"的旋涡中停滞。马尔库塞警示女性应该从消费圣殿的虚幻满足中抽离出来,注重培养自身的价值主体意识,认识到自身的社会责任。     

浅析孙中山先生对“女国民”的期盼

在孙中山先生看来,"中华民国"的女性,作为国民的一份子,应当享有与男性平等的社会权利来参与国事,同时通过料理家事,扮演好"贤妻"、"贤母"的家庭角色进而成为革命事业的助手。孙中山先生对"女国民"的角色期待是既"管国事"又"理家事",以"受教育"必然地服务于这两大职能,这种女性观大大加速了女性登上社会舞台的历史进程,促进了女性的觉醒和解放。     

生态女性主义视角下人与自然关系的重塑

生态女性主义者从性别的社会建构出发,通过性别隐喻,将社会中男性对女性的压迫同人对自然的压制相等同,并将西方科学对自然的认识视为从"男权"出发对自然女性的一种侵犯。生态女性主义者要求重新审视社会性别角色和人与自然的关系,从女性的视角批判现代西方机械自然观,消除人与自然二元对立所带来的生态困境,倡导有机论自然观。生态女性主义有机论自然观是对古代自然观的适度回归,其核心就是要恢复自然自身的价值,将人与自然的关系从"控制"转向"敬畏"。     

Governance choice on a serial network

This paper analyzes governance choice in a two-level federation in providing road infrastructure across jurisdictions. Two models are proposed to predict the choice of centralized or decentralized spending structure on a serial road network shared by two districts. While the first model considers simple Pigouvian behavior of governments, the second explicitly models political forces at both a local and central level. Both models led to the conclusions that the spending structure is chosen based on a satisfactory comprise between benefits and costs associated with alternative decision-making processes, and that governance choice may spontaneously shift as the infrastructure improves temporally.

Thoughts on building a just market society

This paper explores the tensions that exist in contemporary society between the individual as citizen and the individual as consumer. The power of the global market place can potentially drive the polity, so it is necessary to raise questions about the means to secure a healthy civic and political life. Financial capitalism, knowledge capitalism and social capitalism are explored as a means of understanding the nature of modern market capitalism. Can financial knowledge and social capitalism be turned into a virtuous circle of innovation, growth and social progress? The paper suggests that trust is the glue, the cement of a just society, and the dimensions of this trust are explored. Finally, the paper examines the nature of stakeholder society. Pandora's Box: Reflections on a Myth

Abstract

The article seeks to consider the relationship between hope and utopianism by looking at the ancient Greek myth of Pandora's Box, with its enigmatic figure of hope. It begins by considering Hesiod's influential formulation of the myth, before examining a range of modern interpretations in which diverse conceptions of hope are to be found. Using the work of Spinoza, Hume and Day an alternative conception of hope is proposed that conjoins hope with fear. This is followed by an exploration of the utopian, using this time another figure associated with the myth, Prometheus. An attempt is then made to differentiate the frequently conflated concepts of hope and the utopian. Finally, in the spirit of recent post-secularism, the two concepts are brought to bear on the nature of religion.
