CHINA'S stepped-up commitment to expanding her energy infrastructure is official. Premier Wen Jiabao, in astatement at the 2009 National People's Congress, redefined the direction of the country's energy strategy and development goals, clarifying that nuclear, hydroelectric, wind and solar power are all the focus of new projects. China's green energy campaign is unprecedented both on the industrial and legal fronts, and not surprising, since the country is one of the world's major energy consumers.  相似文献

ACCORDING to the National Statistics Bureau, China's gross energy consumption in 2009 mounted to 3.1 billion tons of standard coal, confirming China's image as a real powerhouse of global energy consumption. Although its per capita consumption is still low - the equivalent of 2.33 tons of standard coal in 2009 as compared to 10.37 tons in the United States, unfortunately China's energy composition is dominated by coal, whose utilization is currently inefficient. Then there are its other drawbacks - the scars and stresses sustained by environments during mining and burning. Hence,  相似文献

The international Energy Agency (lEA) announced in July that China has overtaken the U.S. as the world's largest energy user. China's National Energy Bureau immediately chaalenged the conclusion, citing "inaccurate data." In fact China has acknowledged pressuTe from the soaring demand for energy and climate change, and is responding to the issue on all fronfs. If is closing down power-greedy plants  相似文献

THE rise of China is gaining more momentum thanks to its increasing economic, political, and strategic weight in the AsiaPacific region, and its outstanding performance in a post-crisis global economy. With an average annual economic growth of 9.5 percent over the past two decades, China has remained the single largest contributor to global growth over the past few years. However, its economic thrust has come at high energy and environment costs: it is the second-largest energy consumer and one of the largest greenhouse gas emitters worldwide.  相似文献

In its Medium- and Long-Term Development Plan for Renewable Energy, drawn up in 2007, China set itself a goal: increase the percentage of renewable energy in its energy consumption to 10 percent by the year 2010, and then 15 percent by 2020. Four percent of that would be in the form of power generatedfrom wind, solar, biomass and other renewable energy sources.  相似文献

AT the National Energy Work Conference in January 2011,the Chinese government doubled its 2020 target for installed nuclear energy capacity which was set four years ago,to 86 million kW.The country’s current energy shortage partly drives the decision as does its ongoing commitment to the international community for energy conservation and emission reduction.According to up-to-date statistics from the Nuclear Energy Institute of the U.S.that were made available at the conference, the number of nuclear power plants under construction in China accounts for more than 40 percent of the global total, ranking China first in the world for number of plants under construction.  相似文献

正Stomach MeridianThe Stomach Meridian is most active during Chenshi(from 7 to 9 a.m.),when the empty stomach receives nutrition.During this period the blood circulation is at its strongest to support the stomach's function.Chenshi, therefore,is when digestive functions work at optimum level. The Stomach Meridian's main feature is vigorous circulation of the blood and qi.It hence plays a vital role in providing the nutrition necessary to maintain physical strength and energy.  相似文献

Climate change is an urgent issue for all mankind. But it can be more perilous for developing nations like China, already facing a severe energy deficit and environmental degradation. China has been doing all in its power to reduce emissions and conserve resources in the interest both of checking the trend of climate change and of sustainable development.  相似文献

正Lung Meridian The Lung Meridian works dynamically at Yinshi(from 3 to 5 a.m.).People wake with a bright complexion and feel energized if they have slept soundly during Yinshi.A deep sleep at this time nourishes both body and heart. In the preceding Choushi, the liver is revitalized and generates new blood, which is circulated through the whole body via the lungs.Reminder:People who prefer morning exercise should avoid getting up in Yinshi because the intense circulation of the blood and qi(vital energy)at this time can endanger one’s health.Never smoke in Yinshi and avoid morning exercise if you have a heart condition.  相似文献
