一眼六千年——评徐杰舜教授主编《汉民族史记》

徐杰舜先生主编的《汉民族史记》九卷本于2019年出版,在学术界引起广泛反响,好评如潮.该套著作不仅在叙事取向上彻底摆脱了近代通史的叙事范式,采取了《史记》式的叙事结构,突破王朝述史的框架.可贵的是,《汉民族史记》证实了"五帝是一个历史时代",打破了中国历史"上下五千年"的传统观点,把汉民族的历史往前推进了1000多年.献给全球华人的巨著《汉民族史记》九卷本是汉民族研究的又一座高峰,通过这套巨著,我们可看汉民族上下6000多年起源、形成和发展的连绵不断的历史以及族群史、文化史、风俗史、海外移民史.

Tradition Goes Modern

The Chinese used to say they have two pairs of scissors: Wangmazi in the north and Zhang Xiao Quan in the south. These are two time-honored scissor brands that can trace their history back to the 17th century. Both are named after their founders. Wangmazi grew from a small shop near an ancient execution ground in Beijing owned by a man sumamed Wang. Since he had a pockmarked face, mazi in Chinese, people called him Wang Mazi. Wang didn’t make the scissors himself but had them manufactured at local workshops, giving them strict standards to ensure their quality.
