STR data for the PowerPlex 16 loci for the Chinese population in Hong Kong

Allele frequencies for the 15 STR loci included in the PowerPlex 16 kit were obtained from a sample of 247 unrelated Chinese in Hong Kong.     

STR population data for 10 STR loci including the GenePrint PowerPlex 1.2 kit from El-Minia (Central Egypt)

Allele frequencies for 10 STRs including the GenePrint PowerPlex 1.2 loci and also D3S1358, HumvWA and HumFGA were obtained from a sample of unrelated individuals from El-Minia City.     

STR data for PowerPlex 16 System from Buenos Aires population,Argentina

Allele frequencies for the 15 autosomic STR loci included in the PowerPlex 16 System kit (Promega Corp.) were estimated from a sample of 143 unrelated individuals living in Capital Federal and in Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area, Argentina. Population showed to be in HWE.     

STR data for PowerPlex 16 System from Neuquen population,SW Argentina

Allele frequencies for the 15 autosomic STR loci included in the PowerPlex 16 System kit (Promega) were estimated from a sample of 111 unrelated individuals living in Neuquen province, southwest of Argentina. Population showed to be in HWE.     

16 X-chromosome STR loci frequency data from a German population

Allele frequencies for 16 X-linked STRs, suitable for forensic purposes, were obtained from a sample of unrelated German individuals (male and female). The presented data show also repeat sequence structures and statistic parameters describing there information content.     

Haplotype frequencies of 16 Y-chromosome STR loci in the Barcelona metropolitan area population using Y-Filer kit

Haplotype frequencies for 16 Y-chromosomal short tandem repeat (STR) loci, included in the Y-Filer kit, were determined in 247 unrelated healthy individuals from the Barcelona metropolitan area (Catalonia, NE Spain). After PCR amplification and denaturing PAGE electrophoresis, DYS456, DYS389I, DYS390, DYS389II, DYS458, DYS19, DYS385a/b, DYS393, DYS391, DYS439, DYS635, DYS392, Y GATA H4.1, DYS437, DYS438 and DYS448 loci were typed. The aim of this study is to evaluate the performance in our population of the 16 loci of the Y-chromosome present in the new Y-Filer commercial identification kit, and acquire haplotype frequencies for mathematic processing of the forensic diagnosis in our geographical working area. In this sample, all haplotypes were unique. From the forensic point of view, the combined polymorphisms of the Y-Filer kit provide a high diagnostic efficiency.     

Genetic variation for 15 autosomal STR loci (PowerPlex 16) in a population sample from northern Greece

Fifteen autosomal STR loci were typed in a population sample of 318 unrelated individuals from northern Greece. Allele frequencies were determined, and Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium tested, for the following loci: D5S818, D7S820, TH01, TPOX, vWA, CSF1PO, D16S539, D13S317, D8S1179, D3S1358, FGA, PENTA D, PENTA E, D21S11, D18S51.     

Yugoslav population data on nine STR loci

Allele frequencies of nine short tandem repeats (TH01, TPOX, CSF1P0, vWA, FES/FPS, F13A01, D13S317, D7S820 and D16S539) were obtained in a sample of 111-125 unrelated Yugoslavs.
