The data is especially important with the in-temational community keenly watching the Chinese economy in view of the China-U.S. trade friction. First the additional U.S. tariffs didn't have a major impact on the Chinese economy.  相似文献

The removal of facial hair by threading is a common practice among the Miao women of western Hunan. It is a coming-of-age ritual for Miao girls and a popular beauty treatment for Miao women. The practice started way back in history and employs a simple technique. An experienced practitioner can do it on her own face using just a hemp thread. She takes one end of a thread in her one hand holds the other between her teeth. The middle part of the thread is looped between the thumb and forefinger of the right hand, and this is rolled over the face. By opening and closing her hand, she alternately loosens and tightens the loop, twisting away the fine hair from the face and neck. Next she focuses on the the eyebrows, using the thread to trim the eyebrows into the desired shape, perhaps crescent moon or willow leaf. After threading, the skin becomes clean and clear. Studies show that twisting the fine hair off helps to smooth the skin, because subsequent regrowth is finer. Constant depilation make the follicles shrink, producing an enduringly beautiful skin.  相似文献

Morrison’s novel Paradise begins and ends with the raid of men in Ruby on the women in the Convent. The contradictions and conflicts between the two communities are the major parts of this novel. Finally, the contradictions and conflicts are intensified, leading to the scapegoating of the women in the Convent by the men in Ruby. This paper just intends to analyze and discuss how the tragic scapegoating is caused.  相似文献

Nowadays human rights diplomacy is nothing new. This is because in recent years it often comes into relations between China and countries in the West and becomes hot issues. Countries in the West are the creator of human rights diplomacy. During the administration of President Jimmy Carter in the 1970s, the United States for the first time asserted that human fights are central to U.S. foreign policy, and the Carter administration has been known for its human fights diplomacy. Much earlier, in fact, the concept of human fights diplomacy had appeared in the thinking and views of some statesmen in the West.  相似文献

The Real Motive
U.S.President Donald Trump's Middle East peace plan, called by some the"deal of the century,"is an important step-to win the support of Jewish voters in this year's presidential election.Given the complexities of the situation in the Middle East and the failure of negotiations between Israel and Palestine, the plan is unlikely to take the peace process between the two key actors forward.  相似文献

AS predicted by Chinese and foreign observers a year ago, Sino-U.S. relations have continued to "escalate" stablysince the smooth transition from the Bush administration to the Obama administration. The primary reason for the stability of Sino-U.S. relations is the uninterrupted continuation of a policy toward China the Obama administration inherited from the Bush administration.  相似文献
