Besides the cannabinoid mimetic JWH-073, a novel 4 methylnaphthoyl homologue of JWH-073 was detected in a herbal mixture. The structure of the compound was elucidated after thin layer chromatographic enrichment from the herbal mixture by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and gas chromatographic mass spectrometric (GC-MS) analysis. The paper outlines data after GC-MS, liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and NMR spectroscopy, and describes the structure elucidation.  相似文献

This paper describes the structural elucidation of a compound produced during the synthesis of 3,4-methylenedioxymethylamphetamine (MDMA) via the reductive amination of 3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl-2-propanone (3,4-MDP-2-P) with methylamine and sodium cyanoborohydride. The compound was isolated from MDMA by column chromatography, proton and carbon nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, LC/mass spectrometry, and total synthesis were used to identify the compound as N-cyanomethyl-N-methyl-1-(3',4'-methylenedioxyphenyl)-2-propylamine. This compound has been identified as a potential synthetic route marker for the reductive amination of 3,4-MDP-2-P with methylamine and sodium cyanoborohydride and as such it should prove valuable to forensic scientists engaged in profiling illicit drugs. Profiling MDMA can provide useful information to law enforcement agencies relating to synthetic route, precursor chemicals and reagents employed and may be used for comparative analyses of different drug seizures. This paper also describes the structural elucidation of the analogous methylamphetamine synthetic route marker compound, N-cyanomethyl-N-methyl-1-phenyl-2-propylamine, produced during the reductive amination of phenyl-2-propanone using methylamine and sodium cyanoborohydride.  相似文献

This research evaluated whether adult morphological sex estimation methods of the innominate could be adapted and applied to subadults. The subpubic concavity, described by Phenice (1969) and revised by Klales et al. (2012), was modified for use with subadults. Two observers scored radiographic images from the PATRICIA database of 334 individuals of both sexes aged between 1.19 and 20.47 years. Score frequencies shifted from score 2 (straight) to higher frequencies of score 3 (convexity) in males and score 1 (concavity) in females with increasing age. Using ordinal logistic regression, sex classification was highest for the oldest age cohort at 97.2% and then decreased by age cohort. Interobserver error rendered a high level of agreement (0.806) using the intraclass correlation coefficient. Results indicate that the Klales method can be modified and applied to subadults to accurately estimate sex following the onset of puberty with a high degree of reliability and validity.  相似文献

The 'herbal highs' market continues to boom. The added synthetic cannabinoids are often exchanged for another one with a high frequency to stay at least one step ahead of legal restrictions. While most of these substances were synthesized for pharmaceutical purposes and have been described in the scientific literature before, others originate from clandestine laboratories supplying this lucrative market. In this paper, the identification and structure elucidation of two synthetic cannabinoids is reported. The first compound, 1-[(5-fluoropentyl)-1H-indol-3yl]-(4-methylnaphthalen-1-yl)methanone, was found along with AM-2201 in a 'herbal mixture' obtained via the Internet. For isolation of the substance from the mixture, a newly developed flash chromatography method was used providing an inexpensive and fast way to gain pure reference substances from 'Spice' products for the timely development or enhancement of analytical methods in the forensic field. The second substance, 4-fluoronaphthalen-1-yl-(1-pentylindol-3-yl)methanone (JWH-412) was seized by German authorities as microcrystalline powder, making it very likely that it will be found in 'herbal mixtures' soon.  相似文献

Five 44 gallon drums labeled as glycidyl methacrylate were seized by the Australian Customs Service and the Australian Federal Police at Port Botany, Sydney, Australia, in December 2004. Each drum contained a white, semisolid substance that was initially suspected to be 3,4-methylenedioxymethylamphetamine (MDMA). Gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (GC/MS) analysis demonstrated that the material was neither glycidyl methacrylate nor MDMA. Because intelligence sources employed by federal agents indicated that this material was in some way connected to MDMA production, suspicion fell on the various MDMA precursor chemicals. Using a number of techniques including proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy ((1)H NMR), carbon nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy ((13)C NMR), GC/MS, infrared spectroscopy, and total synthesis, the unknown substance was eventually identified as methyl 3-[3',4'(methylenedioxy)phenyl]-2-methyl glycidate. The substance was also subjected to a published hydrolysis and decarboxylation procedure and gave a high yield of the MDMA precursor chemical, 3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl-2-propanone, thereby establishing this material as a "precursor to a precursor."  相似文献
