司法部2011年8月20日出台的《司法行政干部教育培训工作实施办法》(下文简称《办法》)的第10条、19条和20条对监狱、劳教人民警察(下文简称监狱民警)培训工作的组织领导、培训目的和培训时间又一次作了规定和说明,具有很强的前瞻性和指导意义。实际上,监狱民警的职业要求决定了监狱民警的培训从上世纪八十年代以来就没有间断过,尤其是1992年警衔制度实施以来,民警的教育培训基本上就制度化了,如对首次授予警衔、晋升警衔前必须参加培训以及培训时间的长短司法部早就有明确的要求。 相似文献

湖北省司法厅党委和厅领导多年来十分重视信息工作。早在1996年,鲁德喜厅长就明确要求:信息工作一定要做到“快、准、灵”。正由于厅党委的正确领导,省委、省政府办公厅和司法部的大力支持,尤其是《中国司法》杂志社的经常关心与指导,才使我厅的信息工作逐年有所进步,去年取得了明显成效,全年编发《湖北司法信息》100期、《湖北司法行政简报》57期,完成省政府政务信息报送任务。其中有11条信息被省委、省政府和司法部采用,有4条被省政府办公厅《专报信息》采用。我厅几年来抓信息工作的实践证明,信息工作在服务决策。树立典型、交流经验、扩大影响等方面发挥了积极作用,为推进我省司法行政工作的改革与发展作出了积极贡献。 相似文献

The lay magistracy is unique to the English legal system, and this study investigates how those appointed as magistrates change in their sentencing policy and attitudes toward defendants as a result of the experience gained during the first year on the bench and as a result of the mandatory training program. An experimental design was used to evaluate the effects of training in which a group of newly appointed magistrates was randomly assigned to defer their training for one year and compared to those who completed their training during the first year in the usual way. In addition, the use of a group of nonmagistrates as controls enabled a quasiexperimental evaluation of the effects of experience on the bench. Magistrates and controls completed a questionnaire in which they sentenced a number of cases at the time of the magistrates' appointment to the bench and again one year later. The results showed that magistrates as a result of their experience became more committed to the aims of deterrence and punishment, became more pessimistic about the prospects of reforming defendants, regarded the severe sentences as more appropriate, and took a less sympathetic view of defendants. The training program, however, tended to ameliorate these effects. Possible explanations for these findings and the implications for the training of magistrates are discussed.This study was supported by a grant from the Nuffield Foundation 相似文献

Of all the advocacy services provided to partner violence and sexual assault victims, safety planning may be most central. However, unlike many community behavioral health or case management services, there is virtually no literature on standards of care in safety planning, ways to measure its effectiveness, or discussion of the challenges advocates face in their day-to-day practice of planning for victim safety. The purpose of this paper is to describe advocate perceptions of training and supervision, how they obtain feedback about their work with victims, and their personal challenges in safety planning with victims. Study results highlight the need for more guidance, training, and support as well as more coping strategies for the numerous personal challenges advocates face in their day-to-day safety planning work. The present study evaluates outcomes of a five-hour training session to prepare law enforcement personnel (LEP) to work effectively with LGBTQ individuals and communities. The training was developed collaboratively with the local police department, an LGBTQ community organization, a group of diversity trainers, and the researchers. Approximately 120 LEP participated in the training, and 81 completed pre- and post-test assessments of knowledge, self-efficacy, and interpersonal comfort with LGBTQ people. Paired-sample t-tests demonstrated significant increases in knowledge and confidence in using LGBTQ-affirming tactics on the job. No significant differences were found in participants’ comfort in working with LGBTQ community members. Implications for LEP training on LGBTQ issues and research in assessing LEP for behavioral and affective change are discussed. 相似文献

Correctional staff are instrumental in ensuring the success of any correctional institution; therefore, investigating how the work environment impacts correctional workers is essential. To determine the effects of supervisory consideration, supervisory structure, job variety, and perceptions of training on correctional staff job stress, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment, data from a survey of staff at a Midwestern private correctional facility were examined. The Ordinary Least Squares regression results indicate that each of the work environment factors had a significant impact on one or more of the three outcomes. Specifically, supervisory consideration and perceptions of training decreased job stress. Supervisory consideration, job variety, and perceptions of training had positive effects on job satisfaction. Finally, supervisory consideration, supervisory structure, job variety, and perceptions of training had positive relationships with organizational commitment. 相似文献
