China and the United States approached each other and finally established diplomatic relations on the basis of jointly countering Soviet expansion. Since then, this relationship has undergone 30 years of twists and turns and complicated development. At the beginning of diplomatic relations, China- U.S. relations were like an infant teetering along, and every step was linked to the triangle relations between China, the United States and the Soviet Union. For a long time, relations between the European Union and Africa are not on an equal footing. As early as half a century ago, the European Community, predecessor of the EU, drove the former colonies of some member states into a framework of “special relationship” with the Community and established a system to keep them dependent on their former European suzerains through unequal trade and aid. Most of those countries that were driven into the system were African states. Such a system demonstrated the one-way control by the developed European countries over the developing African countries. With the continuous improvement of Africa's strategic position, ever since 2005, the EU, for its own economic and security interests, has issued with great fanfare policy documents on Africa, adjusting its policy toward the continent and proposing to make the “equal political partnership” between the EU and Africa as the primary objective of its Africa policy. However, due to historical and realistic reasons, it is not easy to achieve genuine equality between the EU and Africa; to make it a reality, colossal efforts have to be made.  相似文献

Global oil markets are increasingly jittery because of the recent political turbulence in North Africa and the Middle East,prompting China to seek more cooperation with other countries in the field of unconventional energy resources.Considering form the perspective of a hedging strategy,China should expand its cooperation with developed energy-exporting countries.China and Canada are highly complementary in the areas of energy exploration and mutual trade and this provides a broad space for their energy cooperation.However,up until now,this potential has not yet been fully explored,and there have been few substantial achievements in bilateral energy cooperation.Various reasons,including economical and political,can be attributed to this.The Chinese government and enterprises should both make efforts to overcome obstacles and make good use of all advantages to further develop energy cooperation with Canada,so as to realize greater energy politics and economic interests.  相似文献

In 2005, then Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's visits to the Yasukuni Shrine--where Japanese war criminals are honored--threw the Sino-Japan relationship into unprecedented crises. Since then, ties have been troubled and it can be said that relations with Japan are China's top foreign affairs issue, particularly after two fierce confrontations over the Diaoyu Islands in September 2010 and September 2012. Most recently, relations have been hurt by the current Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe's flagrant visit to the Yasukuni Shrine. The situation looks bleak with Abe's stubborn efforts to deny history, radically adjust the nation's constitution and military confrontations with China. 国际危机管理对冷战后的国际关系具有重要意义。本文以中美关系为例,运用危机管理的相关理论,阐释了中美危机管理的基本内涵,以及中美危机管理的四个基本要素,并在此基础上,分析了危机管理对中美关系的影响。本文认为,危机管理是发展中美关系和实现中国和平发展的战略支撑点;多边危机管理和非传统危机管理活动已经成为中美关系发展的现实增长点;危机管理在未来可以消除中国发展对中美关系的震荡;同时,管理世界权力体系中的危机,也是中国应该承担的国际责任。  相似文献

The energy issue is thus a key issue in Sino-US Relations. The United States has been on bad terms with some energy-rich "problem countries", while the energy cooperation between China and these countries is starting to go well.
