五中全会与中国的城市发展

十七届五中全会是在全面建设小康社会的关键时期,是在深化改革开放、加快转变经济发展方式的攻坚时期召开的一次重要会议。会议通过的《中共中央关于制定国民经济和社会发展第十二个五年规划的建议》(以下简称《建议》)在城市发展、城市管理等方面提出了一系列新的思想。

Du Qinglin,ethnic Han from Panshi,Jilin Province,born in November 1946.He joined the CPC in March 1966 and graduated from the School of Economics and Management at Jilin University,majoring in national economic planning and management,with a degree of Master of Economics.

Ma Kai,ethnic Han from Shanghai,born in June 1946.He joined the Communist Party of China(CPC)in August 1965 and graduated from the Department of Political Economics at Renmin University of China,majoring in political economics,with a degree of Master of Economics.

遵照十七大关于以改革创新精神推进党的建设的总体思想，十七届四中全会《决定》对党建理论有新的发展，主要是在党建总体布局上的一种理论深化和措施具体化：阐述了新形势下加强和改进党的建设的重要性和紧迫性，总结了党在长期执政实践中执政党建设的六项基本经验，部署了党在新形势下加强和改进党的建设的六项重大任务，突出了十七大关于新时期进行党的建设新的伟大工程的重点目标和着力点。     

Speech at the Symposium on Study and Implementation of the Spirit of the 19~(th) CPC National Congress at the China Society for Human Rights Studies

<正>Following the successful conclusion of the 19~(th) Communist Party of China National Congress,there has been a nationwide upsurge in the study and implementation of the spirit of the Congress.It was therefore both necessary and timely for the China Society for Human Rights Studies to organize a symposium on the study and implementation of the spirit of the Congress.I’d like to express my understanding of the study and implementation of the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress from three aspects:

十三届四中全会以来中共对执政党建设的探索,取得了显著的成就,并为新世纪新阶段与时俱进地推进执政党建设新的伟大工程提供了有益的历史启迪,主要是:坚持以发展着的马克思主义为指导;坚持以中共执政能力建设为重点;坚持以中共先进性建设为核心;加强中共执政理论体系建设;注重中共执政经验的总结;不断深化对中共执政规律的认识;善于从中华传统文化中吸取智慧;积极借鉴国外执政党建设的有益成果。     

Interpretation of the Report of the 18th CPC Congress:To Respect and Protect Human Rights

In the crucial period of building a moderately prosperous society and deepening reform and opening up,and of accelerating the transformation of economic development,the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,which was held in November2012,made comprehensive arrangements for the undertakings of both the Party and the State,further clarified the goals and grand blueprint for future development in the next period,and left an important and farreaching impact on the development     

体制性障碍的新突破——学习十六届三中全会精神

党的十六届三中全会审议通过的<中共中央关于完善社会主义市场经济体制若干问题的决定>,明确提出了完善社会主义市场经济体制的目标、任务、指导思想和原则,是进一步深化经济体制改革,促进经济和社会全面发展的纲领性文件.它对于把中国的改革向纵深推进,进一步冲破体制性障碍,实现全面建设小康社会的宏伟目标具有重大意义.

In Memoriam of Former President Luo Haocai of China Society for Human Rights Studies

Luo Haocai, a famous overseas Chinese, jurist, educator and social activist, died of an illness on February 12, 2018, in Beijing at the age of 83. He had been an outstanding leader of the China Zhi Gong Party, vice chairman of the Ninth and Tenth National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), chairman of the 11~(th) and 12~(th) Central Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party,

Exhibition Highlights Development of Human Rights in China——An interview with Professor Dong Yunhu, vice-president and secretary-general of China Society for Human Rights Studies

An exhibition on human rights in China was held in the Cultural Palace of Ethnic Groups, Beijing, November 17-26,2006, jointly by the Information Office of the State Council, China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS) and China Human Rights Development Fund. The exhibition attracted more than 10,000 visitors from in and outside the country and aroused much media attention. Following is an interview by our reporter with Prof. Dong Yunhu, vice-president and secretary-general of the CSHRS, on the exhibition.
