北京市采取紧急措施控制大气环境污染

北京市的大气环境污染主要来自燃煤引起的污染、机动车排放尾气和地面扬尘污染,市政府为治理大气环境污染制定了18项紧急措施。     

Massive Earthquake Hit Yunnan

正A 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck Ludian County in southwest China’s Yunnan Province on August 3.The strongest to hit the province in 14 years,it killed more than 600 people and destroyed 80,000 homes in Ludian and surrounding areas.Though many Chinese are still struggling to shake off memories of the 2008quake in Sichuan,past experience with disaster relief proved crucial this time,and the country’s quick and effi cient emergency response won praise from the public.
