Distribution of alleles of 15 STR loci of the Powerplex 16 Multiplex system in four predominant population groups of South India

Allele distribution of the 15 STR loci of Powerplex 16 Multiplex System were studied in four predominant population groups of South India for evaluating their significance in human identification and population study: Iyengar Brahmin (65), Gowda (59), Lingayat (98) and Muslim (45) from the state of Karnataka. The loci analyzed are--D3S1358, THOI, D2ISI I, D18S51, D5S818, Penta E, D13S317, D7S820, D16S539, CSFIPO, Penta D, vWA, D8S179, TPOX and FGA. Out of 15 STR loci Penta D and D18S51 were found highly polymorphic in the studied populations.     

Allelic frequencies at 12 STR loci in Colombian population

Three hundred and twenty-six to four hundred and fifty-one individuals were typed for 12 STR markers and revealed by silver stain method and assisted by a computer analysis. Forensic and Hardy-Weinberg values were found. The Kodak ds 1D Image Analysis Software V 2.0.3 EDAS DC 120 System was a useful tool for determining the correct size of pattern bands that were out allelic ladders, alleles 18 and 17 from F13A01, 15 from TPOX and 4 from TH01 were determined by this method and some corroborated by automatic analysis.     

Haplotypes for 12 Y-chromosomal STR loci in a Korean population (the central region)

Haplotypes and allele frequencies of 12 STR loci included in the PowerPlex Y system (DYS391, DYS389I, DYS439, DYS389II, DYS438, DYS437, DYS19, DYS392, DYS393, DYS390, and DYS385a/b) were obtained from a sample of 569 unrelated individuals living in the central region of Korea. A total of 473 haplotypes were observed in the 569 individuals studied, of which 426 (90.06%) were unique. The overall haplotype diversity for the 12 Y-STR loci was 0.9985, and the discrimination capacity was 0.8313. In DYS439, we found a new intermediate-sized allele that added an A at base 3 upstream from the repeat region's first GATA motif. The allele was named 11 (U3Ains) according to its sequence structure.     

汉族12个STR位点群体遗传学调查

目的240个汉族无关个体12个STR位点基因频率调查及其法医学应用;方法采用12位点复合扩增及变性聚丙烯酰胺凝胶电泳基因分型;结果该系统12个STR基因位点在汉族人群中均为高识别率位点,特别适合于陈旧血痕检验;结论12位点STR-PCR复合扩增系统检测方法简便,经济实用,在法医个体识别和亲子鉴定中具有应用价值。     

STR data for AmpF/STR Profiler Plus loci in south Poland.

Frequency data of short tandem repeats (STR) loci included in the AmpF/STR Profiler Plus kit were collected from a sample of 253 random, unrelated individuals born in the south Poland region. All loci met Hardy-Weinberg expectation.     

STR data for the AmpFlSTR SGM Plus loci from Shantou (south of China)

Allele frequencies for the ten STRs included in the AmpFlSTR SGM Plus kit were obtained from a sample of 132 unrelated Han individuals born in the region of Shantou (south of China).     

Allele frequency of six STR loci among three predominant population groups of eastern India

Allele frequencies for the six STR loci HumTHO1, TPOX, CSF1PO, vWA, FESFPS and F13AO1 were obtained from 94-120 unrelated individuals belonging to three important population groups of eastern India.
