Population genetic data for 18 STR loci in Costa Rica

Allele frequencies for 18 STR autosomal loci (D3S1358, VWA, FGA, D8S1179, D21S11, D18S51, D5S818, D13S317, D7S820, D16S539, TH01, TPOX, CSF1PO, Penta D, Penta E, D19S433, D2S1338 and SE33) were obtained from a sample of 191-500 unrelated individuals from Costa Rica, Central America.     

Population data on the 11 STR loci in the Upper Silesia (Poland)

Smuggling of methamphetamine is affected by enforced regulation and international situation, resulting in changes of precursors and synthetic methods used. Enantiomer ratio of methamphetamine can provide information concerning its precursor and synthetic method. This information is useful for the prevention of smuggling methamphetamine and its precursor, and resultant reduction of methamphetamine abuse. In the present study, we investigated on the enantiomer ratios of 433 crystalline methamphetamine samples seized in Korea from 1994 to 2005. Excluding 17 samples of low purity, 416 samples were used for enantiomer profiling. The methamphetamine samples were derivatized with (S)-(+)-alpha-methoxy-alpha-(trifluoromethyl)phenylacetyl chloride ((S)-(+)-MTPACl), and the derivatives were analyzed by GCMS in selected ion monitoring (SIM) mode. The enantiomer ratios of the samples were calculated from the standard calibration curves of each enantiomer, both of which showed good linearity in the range of 0-1.2 microg. Most of the seizures were pure S(+)-enantiomer, but 21% (95 of 416 samples) contained R(-)-enantiomer above 1%. They began to appear from 1997, and increased continuously up to 50% in the year 2005 (55 of 111 samples). From this study, we could find out that alternative precursors have been used recently for the illicit manufacture of methamphetamine seized in Korea.     

Population study of 11 Y-chromosomal STR loci in Singapore Chinese

In this study of 212 unrelated Singapore Chinese males, allelic frequencies and gene diversities of 11 Y-chromosome specific STR loci (DYS19, DYS389I, DYS389II, DYS390, DYS391, DYS392, DYS393, DYS385a/b, DYS438 and DYS439) were established. A total of 184 haplotypes were observed in the 212 individuals studied, of which 165 (89.67%) were unique. The most common haplotype was observed in five (2.35%) individuals. The overall haplotype diversity for the 11 Y-STR loci was 99.81%, and the discrimination capacity was 86.79%.     

成都汉族群体10个STR基因座的遗传多态性

目的获得成都汉族群体10个短串联重复序列（short tandem repeat,STR）基因座的群体遗传学数据,评估其法医学应用价值。并对其种属特异性进行研究。方法Chelex法提取100名无亲缘关系的成都汉族个体血液样本的DNA,PCR扩增,非变性聚丙烯酰胺凝胶电泳,硝酸银显色分型。选择10种常见的动物样本进行种属特异性研究,对上述10个基因座的种属特异性进行评价。结果D1S2145、D3S2433、D5S1507、D5S2502、D8S2319、D9S926、D16S767、D17S2181、GATA140E03和GATA196B10基因座在成都汉族群体中等位基因个数分别为6、5、8、5、6、7、7、5、7和7,基因型个数分别为17、14、28、15、16、18、15、14、19和21;等位基因和基因型频率分布均符合Hardy-Weinberg平衡定律。经与10种动物样本比较,D3S2433、D5S1507、D5S2502、D8S2319和CATA196B10有较好的种属特异性,其余基因座分型区内少部分动物有扩增产物。结论上述10个STR基因座在成都汉族群体中具有较好的遗传多态性,在个体识别和亲权鉴定中具有一定的应用价值。     

Population data of nine Y-chromosomal STR loci in northern Poland

Allele and haplotype frequencies of nine Y-chromosome STR loci were determined from a sample of 508 unrelated males from north Poland. Three samples containing insertion polymorphism DYS19 (duplication) and DYS385I/II (triplications) were observed.     

Population data for the Identifier 15 STR loci in Hong Kong Chinese

Allele frequencies for 15 STR loci, namely D8S1179, D21S11, D7S820, CSF1PO, D3S1358, TH01, D13S317, D16S539, D2S1338, D19S433, vWA, TPOX, D18S51, D5S818 and FGA, which are tested for by PE Applied Biosystem's Identifier kit, were obtained from a sample of 325 unrelated Chinese in Hong Kong.     

Han nation population in Shangdong province of china data for nine STR loci

Allele frequencies for nine STR loci (D3S1358, TH01, TPOX, CSF1PO, D16S539, D7S820, D2S1338, D8S1179, D18S535) were obtained from a sample of 100/86 unrelated healthy individual born in Shangdong province of China. chi(2)-Test indicated that the distribution of genotypes agreed with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.     

Population data for the AmpFl STR Identifiler PCR Amplification Kit in China Han in Jilin Province, China

Allele frequencies for the fifteen short tandem repeats (STR) loci D3S1358, vWA, FGA, D8S1179, D21S11, D18S51, D5S818, D13S317, D7S820, D19S433, THO1, D16S539, CSF1PO, TPOX, D2S1338 (AmpFl STR Identifiler PCR Amplification Kit, Applied Biosystems) were determined in a population sample of unrelated China Han in Jilin Province, China. Statistical analyses were performed using Powerstats version 1.2 and GEP-ISFGWG. The results showed that all the loci met Hardy-Weinberg expectation.     

Allele frequencies for nine STR loci in a Korean ethnic group from northeast China

Allele frequencies for the nine tetrameric short tandem repeats (STR) loci D3S1358, vWA, FGA, D8S1179, D21S11, D18S51, D5S818, D13S317, D7S820 (AmpFlSTR) Profiler Plus PCR Amplification kit, PE Applied Biosystems) were determined in 109 unrelated Korean ethnic group individuals from northeast China.
