Last year, the international community gave particular and systematic attention to the development of the "China factor", and various countries adjusted policies on China accordingly with far-reaching strategic consideration. The relations between China and the current world system have witnessed a change from partial and loose contacts to structural and systematic relations.I. Last year, the "China factor",as an impor- tant influencing concept, entered the language of the international politi…  相似文献

China officially adopted its Going Out strategy in 2001 when it was included in the Tenth Five-Year plan. Over the past decade, the policy has gone from strength to strength: from its launch, to its prudent execution, and to efforts made to advance it further (as mentioned in its inclusion in the Twelfth Five-Year plan). Going Out is an obvious next step for a rapidly rising China during a period of strategic opportunities.  相似文献

The relationship between the U.S.and China needs to be stabilized under a new definition in this post-global financial crisis period.Stability is possible if both sides work hard together to build a "cooperative partnership." Under this new definition, over the next few decades, both countries should work towards cooperation at the top level, building closer ties, and establishing a foundation of deep-rooted mutual trust.  相似文献

In 2010,China became the world’s number two economic power. Its per capita GDP is still below the world average, but it continues to possess great demand for economic growth and has amassed huge development funds and capacity for construction. The majority of Chinese people welcome the government’s development policies. As such,it is necessary and very likely that China will continue its policy of GDP priority for another generation at least.  相似文献

After the global financial crisis broke out in 2008, major industrial economies became concerned about delndustrlahzation . The important roles that the industrial sector plays in creating jobs and ensuring intemational competitiveness began to be recognized again. The U.S. launched its policy of "re-industrialization" and Brazil published a plan to develop its industrial sector between 2011 and 2014. China's industrial sector has rapidly developed. "Deindustrialization" sparked widespread concern because it is connected with the global distribution of technological capability and the future global economic order. It is noteworthy that the U.S., Brazil and some other major economies partly blamed China for the problems that "deindustrialization" has caused and this has had an increasing effect on China' s relations with these countries. It reflects China' s problem as a new manufacturing power. In this article, the author analyzes those political and economic factors associated with "deindustrialization" and makes some suggestions for the Sino-Brazilian strategic partnership. In this way, the author explores some ideas on establishing a new type of big power relations.  相似文献

Over the past several years, some terms, such as the "Asian Century , the "rise of Asia" and the "rise of China and India, have become popular in international society. For some international observers, these terms simply reflect a global tendency; but for Asian people, they are more like visions. As members of Asia, China and South Asian countries have a responsibility to make these visions into realities, and these countries are trying their utmost to do so.  相似文献

There have been tensions between China and Japan since September 2012. These have spiraled so that now the relationship is one of the most dangerous and uncertain in the Asia-Pacific region. This enduring conflict between the world's second and third largest economies will negatively impact the regional and the global economies. In the first half of 2014, Japanese investment into China fell 47% while bilateral trade slipped 5% on a year earlier. Between 2001 and 2006, Junichiro Koizumi, then Japanese Prime Minister, kept up visits to the Yasukuni Shrine, throwing the China-Japan relationship into an unprecedented political crisis. Ties were characterized by being cold politically, but hot economically.  相似文献

New DevelopmentsBefore the 2008 financial crisis, and especially before the U.S.began its return to Asia, relations between China, the U.S.and China's neighbors in East Asia were not a major issue. However, since 2010,relations have been stirred up.Take the Cheonan incident, the shelling of Yeonpyeong Island, the Diaoyu Islands dispute between China and Japan, the Huangyan Island confrontation between China and the Philippines, and the South China Sea issue, for example.Sino-U.S.relations have grown more complex, and sovereignty disputes between China and some of its neighbors have intensified. At the same time, relations between the U.S.and most of China'sneighbors have improved. The U.S.' decision to pivot to Asia contains many objectives.  相似文献

China's rise has focused international attention in recent years and China Studies now tops the agenda of academia and decision-making circles around the world. The reasons can be traced to tremendous transformations that have occurred in China since it launched reforms and opening-up policies. These changes have given rise to adjustments in the global economy and ensuing shifts in the North-South power balance. In fact, China has increasingly evolved into a driving force for the global economy, providing it with opportunities for expansion and providing it with a more spacious, relaxed environment. Such a win-win situation benefits sustainable global growth. Therefore, a correct grasp of the channels for this interaction and recognition of the harmony in growth between China and the world is crucial, both for China's further integration into the world, and the world's better understanding of this rising Asian power.  相似文献

With the implementation by China of the policy of reform and opening to the outside world, China's diplomacy has undergone a great reform of profound significance, and has made outstanding achievements. China's development and its diplomacy supplement, enrich and promote each other. The former provides good conditions for the latter's development, while the latter safeguards China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, creates a peaceful international environment for the country's cause of socialist construction with Chinese characteristics, and makes remarkable contributions to the great undertaking of reform and opening-up and the Four Modernizations.  相似文献

A heated debate over the rise of China has been going on unabated in the international community for nearly two decades. However, with the elapse of time, the initial divergence of views in the mainstream opinion has gradually diminished and the gap in China policy among nations has likewise narrowed down. Instead, reason and a realistic approach have eventually taken center stare.  相似文献

The Ma Ying-jeou Authorities have played a key role in the latest round of dispute over the Diaoyu Islands. The East China Sea Peace Initiative, put forward by Ma, was aimed at enlarging Taiwan’s international space. Taiwan also tried to avoid affecting its close relationship with the U.S., and rejected the possibility of joint defense with the Mainland China. However, some tacit understanding has developed between the two sides over this dispute.  相似文献
