<正>Whether it is a talk show or other forms of comedy art,the ultimate goal is to express a point of view.Laughter is just the exterior packaging of a talk show, and performers must have a critical spirit. "Influenced by some TV variety shows, talk shows have become quite popular in China during the past few years, and a growing number of audiences have begun to watch offline performances,"said Zhou Shenglong, founder of Kangaroo Comedy. Some of his audience are regulars, but there is an increas...  相似文献

Human right is the most fashionable political rhetoric in the contemporary social sciences. Although there is not a unified understanding, it has aroused growing concern in the legal sciences, social sciences and political sciences. This paper tries to use the legal anthropology, a hybrid discipline of legal sciences and social, cultural and anthropological sciences to probe into the basic problems of human rights.  相似文献

ACCORDING to official statistics, there are now 130 million (equivalent to half the American population) migrant workers in Chinese cities. This means that China has more migrant than urban workers, and that they constitute the main Chinese industrial workforce. To those familiar with China, this phenomenon is an important signal for social change. The term farmer carries quite different connotations in China from what it does in the West, where farming is a profession taken up by well-educated people and involves large-scale mechanical production. Also known as agricultural industrial workers, fanners have a social status equal to that of urban dwellers. In China, being a fanner is synonymous with low social status. Chinese fanners have a comparatively poor education and live on a small patch of farmland (per capita farmland is less than 1 mu, 1 mu = 1/15 hectare). Some farmers work in non-agricultural industries, or go to cities as migrant workers, but do not enjoy the same political rights and social  相似文献

OPINION Looking Beyond Polarization Recently, the debate on where there is polarization between the rich and the poor in China has resurged. Is there in fact a chasm between haves and havenots? Theoretically, when the poor become poorer and the rich richer, the answer to that question is a resounding yes. Although less than 3 percent of the total Chinese population still live in abject poverty, most Chinese economists agree that the disparity between the rich and the poor has widened since the mid-1990s. They also predict that the gap is unlikely to narrow in the near future.  相似文献

Lugu Lake
Our destination was Lugu Lakesupposedly home to the only matriarchal society left on Earth. This unique civilization is based around the banks and beaches of the lake, a spectacular alpine body of water which straddles the Sichuan and Yunnan border in southwest China. Sitting at an altitude of 2,685 meters, it is officially the highest lake in either province. We didn’t quite believe that a society like this could exist, and if it did, how it could function peacefully. We boarded the Lugu Lakebound bus to investigate. Though a handful of China’s 55 ethnic minority groups are represented here, including Yi and Pumi peoples-it is the Mosuo and the dominant role of their women in society that attract visitors. These people may number a mere 40,000 in total,  相似文献

THE Chinese attitude to age and aging is quite different from that in the West. The age of 60 in China marks the start of a brand new life, a belief based on the Chinese "horoscope," which encompasses five astrological cycles of twelve years each. New sexagenerians expect to devote the remainder of their lives to its simple pleasures. My most pro- found impressions of the Middle Kingdom are indeed bound up in images of its senior citizens. It is common to see pedestrians crossing in the middle of a street or ignoring a traffic light, deliberately or unconsciously, especially in small and medium-sized cities. Two decades ago, there were few cars, and the traffic laws were inadequate. Therefore, people developed the mind-set that they will not be punished for this common behavior and that there is nothing wrong in jaywalking. However, nowadays, with the rapid  相似文献
