Is China Short of Labor?

However, while extensive human resources remain untapped, many working-age employees are being laid-off and a large number of college graduates are having difficulty finding jobs. Some experts claim that China's demographic dividend will soon be exhausted. So, what is the real situation in China? Start of NPC Anti-Secession Law Legislative Procedure

AFTER serious consideration and full discussion, the Standing Committee of the 10th National People's Congress decided on December 25, 2004 to go ahead with the legislative procedure to enact an anti-secession law, thus providing legal support for China's efforts to safeguard its territorial integrity and prevent separatist activities. Revision of Law Provides Better Compulsory Education

On June 29, 2006, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Chinese parliament, approved the revised Compulsory Education Law of the People 's Republic of China, which became effective for implementation on September 1. Before the revision, the law had 18 articles with a total of 1,800 characters, which were not divided into chapters. In comparison, the revised law has 63 articles in eight chapters, with a total of 7,000 characters.
