Allele frequencies for nine STR loci in a Korean ethnic group from northeast China

Allele frequencies for the nine tetrameric short tandem repeats (STR) loci D3S1358, vWA, FGA, D8S1179, D21S11, D18S51, D5S818, D13S317, D7S820 (AmpFlSTR) Profiler Plus PCR Amplification kit, PE Applied Biosystems) were determined in 109 unrelated Korean ethnic group individuals from northeast China.

Allele frequencies for nine STR loci namely, D3S1358, HUMvWA, HUMFIBRA/FGA, D8S1179, D21S11, D18S51, D5S818, D13S317 and D7S820 were obtained from a sample of 198 unrelated Chinese in Beijing, China.     

Allele frequencies for nine PCR-typed STR loci in a population from middle China

Allele frequencies for nine STR loci namely, CSF1PO, D5S818, D8S1179, F13A01, F13B, TPOX, HUMvWA, HUMFGA and D3S1358 were obtained from a Chinese Han population from Henan province (middle China).     

Allele frequencies of 15 STR loci of Luoba ethnic group in Tibet (Southwestern China)

Allele frequency data for 15 short tandem repeat (STR) loci included in the AmpFlSTR Identifiler kit were obtained from a sample of 93 healthy unrelated individuals of Luoba population born in Tibet Autonomy Region of China (Southwestern China). In these samples, 141 alleles and 365 genotypes were observed for 15 STR loci. The distribution of these observed genotypes were not significantly different from the expected distribution according to Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.     

Allele frequencies for nine STR loci in Ovambo population using AmpFlSTR Profiler Kit

Allele frequencies for the nine short tandem repeat (STR) loci D3S1358, vWA, FGA, TH01, TPOX, CSF1PO, D5S818, D13S317, and D7S820 were investigated in 195 unrelated Ovambo (Bantus) population from Namibia. AmpFlSTR Profiler Kit was employed for amplification. For each locus, 6-19 alleles were observed. Comparison between Ovambo population data and that of other African populations was performed. AmpFlSTR Profiler detection system is a useful tool for individual identification in Ovambo population.     

Allele frequencies of 10 STR loci in Koreans

Allele frequencies for the 10 STR loci, D6S1043, D9S925, D7S821, D4S2368, D21S2055, GATA193A07, D12S391, D10S2326, D15S822 and D18S51 were obtained from a sample of 217-310 unrelated Koreans. In this study, 2 out of the 10 loci did not meet Hardy-Weinberg expectation. The combined probability of identity for 10 loci tested was 4.93 x 10(-14).     

壮族人群3个STR基因座基因频率分布及其法医学应用

研究3个STR基因座（D21S11、HumFGA、D19S253）在广西壮族人群中的基因频率分布及其在实际检案中的应用价值。以自制等位基因Ladder样品作为标准对照,用PCR结合PAGE技术对3个STR基因座的扩增产物进行分型。结果显示：D21S11基因座有14个等位基因,有44个基因型;HumFGA基因座有15个等位基因,40个基因型;D195253基因座有9个等位基因,23个基因型。经检验,3个STR基因座基因型分布均符合Hardy－Weinberg平衡,累计个体识别力（DP）为0．9995。3个STR基因座在壮族人群属高识别力遗传标记系统,在法医学个体识别及亲权鉴定方面有重要价值。     

Allele frequencies for 15 STR loci in Tibetan populations from Nepal

Samples from 105 unrelated healthy Sherpa in Namche Bazaar and 111 unrelated non-Sherpa in Kathmandu valley from Nepal were used to obtain allele frequency data for 15 short tandem repeat (STR) loci (CSF1PO, D2S1338, D3S1358, D5S818, D7S820, D8S1179, D13S317, D16S539, D18S51, D19S433, D21S11, FGA, TH01, TPOX and vWA) included in the AmpFLSTR Identifiler kit. No deviations from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium were observed, but only after applying a Bonferroni correction in the case of D5S818 in the Sherpa population and D7S820 in the Kathmandu population. Genetic parameters of forensic interest were calculated and genetic differentiation between the two populations tested.     

Allele frequencies of six STR loci in Argentine populations

Allele frequencies of six short tandem repeat (STR) loci were determined in a Caucasian urban sample of La Plata city and three Amerindian sample populations of Argentina. Allele frequencies showed differences between urbans and Amerindians, and among Amerindians as well. The degree of genetic differentiation of subpopulations was mainly due to the Amerindian contribution. Mapuche, Mocovi, and pooled Amerindian populations showed little evidence of HW disequilibrium, and association of alleles. In the urban sample, there is no evidence of population substructuring. Forensic probabilities of exclusion and matching showed high differences between the population groups. Finally, La Plata sample did not show differences with Caucasians from other geographic regions.
