CAFIU Delegation Visits Zambia and South Africa

CAFIU Delegation Visits Japan

At the invitation of the Kazankai Foundation, a delegation of Chinese Association for International Understanding （CAFIU） headed by Mr. Xu Jianguo, Secretary-General of CAFIU, visited Japan from January 9 to 16, 2008. In Tokyo, the delegation attended the inauguration ceremony of the new office building of the Kazankai Foundation. CAFIU Secretary-General Mr. Xu Jianguo delivered a congratulatory speech at the ceremony. Over 200 guests from Japanese political and economic circle, friendly organizations, academic field and the Chinese Embassy attended the ceremony.     

CAFIU Delegation Visits Japan

At the invitation of the International Initiatives of Change of Japan （IC-Japan）, a 3-member CAFIU delegation headed by Council Member Mr. Li Lianfu visited Japan from April 14 to 20. The delegation was cordially received by the Japanese side. Mr. Hashimoto Tory, President of IC-Japan and Chairman of the Tokyo Branch of Deutsche Securities Limited and Ms. Sakaki Takako, Vice President of IC-Japan met with the delegation in Tokyo and Urawa City respectively.     

CAFIU Delegation Visits Poland and Czech

At the invitation of the Civil Society Polish House and the Czech-China Association, a 4-member delegation headed by Mr. Xu Jianguo, CAFIU Secretary-General, visited Poland and the Czech Republic from May 21 to June 1.     

CAFIU Delegation Visits Jordan

At the invitation of Jordan's World Affairs Council (WAC),a six-member CAFIU delegation headed by CAFIU Advisor Mr. Zhang Zhijun paid a friendly visit to Jordan on January 14-15. The Jordanian host attached great importance to and made thoughtful arrangement for the visit. Though having only two-day short stay there,the delegation,accompanied by WAC Secretary-General Mr. Marwan met a broad range of people including the local political figures and other personages from different circles. The visit has further strengthened the mutual understanding and friendship between the two sides.

赞比亚、南非部分中资企业经营状况调查——中国社会科学院西亚非洲研究所赴非洲考察调研报告节录

在美国公谊委员会的资助下,2008年1月10～23日,中国社会科学院西亚非洲研究所赴非洲考察团一行七人①,赴赞比亚和南非进行实地调研.考察团主要对上述两国的一些中资企业进行走访和调查,同时就中资企业在当地的经营状况与当地一些工会组织、非政府机构等举行座谈.     

布什与克林顿访问非洲比较分析

今年 7月 ,美国总统布什访问非洲引起国际舆论的广泛关注。笔者通过对布什此行与 1 998年克林顿非洲之行进行比较分析 ,认为两次访问非洲具有几乎雷同的出访国家和相似的国内政治需要 ,在推动非洲国家政治民主和经济自由、加强与法国争夺在非洲的“影响力” ,以及不直接卷入非洲地区冲突方面 ,均体现出美国对非洲政策的继承性和延续性。但布什此次在反恐、重视非洲石油资源 ,以及关注非洲人健康和教育方面做出的姿态则体现出美国对非洲政策的新发展与新重心。说到底 ,美国是从其全球战略出发来制定和执行其对非洲政策的。美国全球战略的调整和变化必然会引起对非洲政策的调整
