Article 35 of the Constitution provides that citizens of the People's Republic of China enjoy freedom of speech, of the press, of assembly, of association, of procession and of demonstration. This accords with provisions of Articles of 19, 21 and 22 of International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. In his report at the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), General Secretary Hu Jintao urged to guarantee the people's right to freedom of expression. The right to free expression, apart from freedom of speech and of the press, includes the right to use slogans and posters to express political views.  相似文献

Human rights of women are an inalienable, integral and indivisible part of universal human rights, as well as a major reflection of social civilization and social harmony. Human society is a whole consisting of men and women. The world will inevitably be a disharmonious one if women, who make up half of the total population, cannot enjoy equal human rights. Therefore, gender equality is an essential part of a harmonious society. Strengthening protection of human rights of women is absolutely necessary for building a harmonious world and the development of human rights of women will inevitably promote the building of a harmonious world.  相似文献

CHINESE music is as old as Chinese civilization. Traditional music is based on the pentatonic scale, and is melodic instead of harmonic. Despite the sheer dominance of Han culture, it is in fact a synthesis of the music of other nations that reveals the intricacies of influence by different ethnic groups. This explains the smooth transparency of violin music in China.  相似文献

Law is the fundamental method of governance and the rule of law symbolizes modern civilization. The socialist rule of law is the rule of law rooted in the Chinese tradition, and designed and led by the Communist Party of China(CPC). It is not only a tool for government, but also a driver of social progress. Meanwhile, the Chinese human rights system is also designed by the CPC. Both concepts—the socialist rule of law and the human rights system——are different from the West in terms of theory, path and systems. Human rights are the fundamental values of and the ultimate goal pursued by the rule of law; and the rule of law is the recognition of and guarantee for human rights. Efforts must be made to advance legislative, administrative and judicial protection of human rights.  相似文献

CUBEIKOU is one of the many passes of the world famous Great Wall of China. As an ancient battlefield that has wit- nessed over 130 wars in history, theGubeikou Great Wall sits like a battle-hardened general on the ridge of Yanshan Mountain north of Beijing. Even a glimpse of it from afar fills one with awe. In fact its imposing manner has at- tracted many Chinese history enthusiasts to hunt for traces of antiquity here, the most northeast- ern point of Beijing.  相似文献
