Spanish Queen Sofia and Her Party in China

At the invitation of the CPAFFC, Spanish Queen Dona Sofia paid a goodwill visit to China from March 6 to 10, 2003. Accompanying her visit to China were Miguel Angel Cortes, Spanish state secretary for international cooperation, and officials from foreign affairs, cultural, scientific and the press departments. A Tourism Partnership

In April, the Beijing Tourism Administration and Reed Exhibitions, part of the Anglo-Dutch Reed Elsevier Group, announced a strategic partnership in recognition of the huge growth potential of the conference and exhibition industry in China. Art of Engraving Chinese artist Luo Pengpeng showcases her new works of seal engraving

An exhibition of Luo Pengpeng's seal engraving works,sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of China and the AllChina Women's Federation,is being held at The Chinese Museum of Women and Children in Beijing from September 21 to October 5.The "Magnificent Art on Everlasting Stones" exhibition showcases almost 100 seal engravings.Most of them were created by the famed seal-cutting artist Luo Pengpeng,the first postgraduate tutor and Executive Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Seal Engraving,the only institute in China that is authorized to teach seal engraving art.
