The women's liberation movement in China started after the first opium war and it took shape with the aim of protecting the race and salvaging the country. Doubtlessly, the emergence of modern feminism opened the precedent in the theory of women's liberation in China and exerted a profound and far-reaching influence on women's liberation afterwards. But we must face up to the fact that there was some traps or misunderstanding of modern feminism, which were unfavorable for realizing women's rights and such influence was long, so much so that till today we are still seeing its existence. It is, therefore, necessary to have a full reflection of modem feminism, unveil the original meaning of women's rights and make women's rights return to human rights in order to make the development of women's fights continue.  相似文献

Comparative analysis of China’s human rights white papers provides a valuable perspective on changes in the official human rights discourse. In terms of their structures, the white papers can be divided into three types: the mixed model, the five-in-one model and the rights-list model. The rights-list model has a consistent style, standard terminology, and an arrangement of rights in line with China’s reality. In terms of contents, the right to subsistence has been gradually reduced and the right to development is increasing. In the 2013 white paper, there was a whole chapter on social security rights, which highlights China’s social development and the priority placed on the people’s wellbeing. The right to development and social security will become a new focus of human rights discourse in China.  相似文献

The centennial history of the CPC parallels that of the Chinese people's exploration, struggle, and practice of human rights. Human rights of women are an inalienable, integral and indivisible part of universal human rights, as well as a major reflection of social civilization and social harmony. Human society is a whole consisting of men and women. The world will inevitably be a disharmonious one if women, who make up half of the total population, cannot enjoy equal human rights. Therefore, gender equality is an essential part of a harmonious society. Strengthening protection of human rights of women is absolutely necessary for building a harmonious world and the development of human rights of women will inevitably promote the building of a harmonious world.  相似文献

As an educator, I have been keen on human rights education in Chinese schools. Tbrough visits to schools ranging from those at the primary level to schools of higher learning, I have found that education of the young in human rights is fairly developed in the country and conducted in a comprehensive, scientific manner. We are justified to say that a complete system of human rights education is already in place in the country.  相似文献

On February 25, 2004, the United States issued its Country Reports on Human Rights Practices for 2003, distorting the human rights conditions in China, including human rights in Chinese prisons. As a prison inmate in Beijing, I have a say in the human rights conditions in prison based on my personal experience. 1 wrote an article titled "Human Rights in Chinese Prisons in the Eye of a Prison Inmate," which was published in the journal Human Rights (Issue No. 6,2003 of English Edition). Now I'd like to say something about the right to education in Chinese prisons.  相似文献
