South‐South co‐operation: The case for IBSA

The India‐Brazil‐South Africa partnership, incorporated under the banner of the IBSA Dialogue Forum, started its life in a blaze of glory. But it seems the benefits of this South‐South grouping are still more in the area of potential than actualisation. The article looks at what has been achieved so far, the potential in terms of regional trade and investment flows, and the prognosis for IBSA going forward.
