Ms,Christiane Kesper Visits Beijing

At the invitation of CAFIU, Ms. Christiane Kesper, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation of Germany （FES） visited Beijing from March 8 to 12. Ms. Kesper＇s visit aimed at calling on main cooperation partners and exchanging view with them on future cooperation. March (1) March 1 and 14, CAFIU Secretary-General Mr. Xu Jianguo met with Mr. Li Beihua, Member of Czech-China Association. (2) March 12-14, at the invitation of CAFIU, Mr. Kushihara Yoshinao, former Member of the House of Representatives of Japan and others visited Beijing. CAFIU Advisor Mr. Liu Deyou met with them. CAFIU Secretary-General Mr. Xu Jianguo held discussions with the guests.     

Delegation of Japan NPO Corporation Sekai Visits China

At the invitation of Chinese Association for International Understanding （CAFIU）, a 5-member delegation of Japanese entrepreneurs headed by Mr. Nakata Sen, Chief Director of NPO Corporation Sekai visited China from March 22 to 26. In Beijing, Mr. Li Chengren, Executive Vice- President of CAFIU met with the delegation. Both sides exchanged views on strengthening Sino- Japanese cooperation in environment protection, and coping with international financial crisis. The delegation also -called on China Resource Recycling Association and Beijing Huifenghua Gongmao Co.,Ltd, and visited the projects of rural development of Nangong Village on the outskirts of Beijing.

Civil Association Polish House Visits China

At the invitation of CAFIU,a five-member delegation of the Civil Association Polish House headed by its Deputy Chairman Marcin Beben paid a friendly visit to China from March 27 to April 2,2011.Mr.Li Jinjun,Executive Vice-President and Secretary-General of CAFIU met with the delegation.The delegation also called on the Ministry of Civil Affairs and China Economic Cooperation     

FES Delegation Visits China

At the invitation of CAFIU, a 6-member delegation of German Friedrich-Ebert Foundation（FES） headed by Mr. Ernst Kerbusch, Director of the Department for International Cooperation visited China from April 21 to 29. In Beijing, Mr. Li Jinjun, CAFIU adviser and Vice Minister of International Department of CPC, Mr. Li Chengren, Executive Vice President of CAFIU met with the delegation on separate occasions. The delegation participated in the International Conference on Cooperation with Africa in the Context of Globalization cosponsored by CAFIU and FES. The delegation also called on the Central Party School and China Renmin University.

(From March to May, 2011) March (1) March 1, CAFIU Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Du Kening met with Mr. Robert Andrei, President of Asia Horizon 2020 of France. Both sides exchanged views on future cooperation of the two organizations. (2) March 3, CAFIU Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Bai Hongkui met with Mr. Subhas Bandaranaike, Vice-Chairman of Sri Lanka Association for International Understanding (SLAFIU), discussing on CAFIU’s plan of sending a delegation to visit Sri Lanka at the invitation of SLAFIU.     

FES Secretary-General Visits China

At the invitation of CAFIU,Mr. Roland Schmidt,the Secretary-General of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung of Germany (FES) headed a delegation to visit China on February 3-11,2007. In Beijing,Mr. Zhou Tienong,Vice-Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and CAFIU Vice-President,Mr. Zhang Zhijun,Vice-Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and CAFIU Advisor,Mr. Xu Zhenhuan,Vice-Chairman of the All China Federation of Trade Union met with the delegation respectively and Mr. Li Chengren,Executive Vice-President of CAFIU had talks with the delegation.     

CAFIU Delegation Attends the 14~(th) Sino-Japanese Symposium on Asian Situation and Peace

At the invitation of Tsuneo Suzuki, member of the House of Representatives of Japan and former minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Association （MEXT）, a delegation for International （CAFIU） headed by its Executive of the Chinese Understanding Vice-PresidentLi Chengren attended the 14th Sino-Japanese Symposium on Asian Situation and Peace and visited Japan from May 10th to 15th.

Developing Sino-French People-to-People Exchanges and Promoting Sino-French and Sino-European Ties

At the invitation of Chinese Association for International Understanding （CAFIU）, a 4-member delegation of French experts on international relations headed by Mr. Robert Andrei, Presidentof ＂Asia Horizon 2020＂ of France, visited China from July 5 to 11. During their visit in Beijing, Mr. Li Chengren, Executive Vice-President of CAFIU met with the delegation. The delegation also cosponsored with CAFIU the ＂Seminar on Sino-French and Sino-European Ties＂, called on the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and China Institute of International Studies and had in-depth discussions with the Chinese experts on international issues of common concerns. Apart from Beijing, the delegation also visited Sichuan and Guangdong.     

CAFIU Holds a Seminar on China-Japan Cultural Exchanges and Soft Power
